AANA Leadership and Staff are aware of an influx in scams attempting to sell falsified member mailing lists and member data. Please be aware that AANA is not part of these types of requests; we take the data privacy of our members and attendees very seriously and would never sell email addresses or other critical pieces of data.

Unfortunately, these types of scamming solicitations are difficult to mitigate, and the impact is widespread as all organizations and groups that host events experience this same type of challenge. The Security Industry Association, Consumer Technology Association and U.S. Chamber of Commerce submitted a letter to the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Attorney General calling for an investigation into these proliferating scams. To ensure you are interacting with AANA Staff and not a scam, please confirm the email address ends with “@aana.org.”

We appreciate your understanding and hope this message addresses your concerns. If you have additional questions, please reach out to AANA IT Director Adam Fultz at adam@aana.org.
